Coach Bojan Hodak once again emphasized his determination to lead Persib Bandung to victory when hosting Bali United in Week 27 of the 2025/2026 Super League at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Sunday, April 12, 2026. Securing three points is considered crucial to keep Maung Bandung firmly at the top of the standings.
Currently, Persib leads the table with 61 points from 26 matches, holding a four-point advantage over Borneo FC in second place. Meanwhile, Bali United sits mid-table with 36 points.
“This is an important match for us because we are trying to maintain (winning) all our home matches,” said Hodak during a pre-match press conference at GBLA Stadium, Saturday, April 11, 2026, as quoted from the club’s official website.
“We are trying to get a good result so we can maintain the gap between us and the other teams,” he added.
Focus on Maintaining Home Dominance
Playing at home is a major advantage for Persib in this match. The support from fans and a strong record at GBLA serve as key factors in securing maximum points.
Hodak stressed the importance of consistency, especially when playing in front of home supporters. He wants his team to maintain stable performances to widen the gap from their closest rivals at the top.
Analyzing the Opponent’s Strengths and Weaknesses
Despite being favored on paper, Hodak remains cautious of Bali United, who are riding high in confidence after a big win over PSBS Biak.
He noted that Bali United plays an aggressive attacking style, but it also leaves spaces at the back that can be exploited.
“They play very attacking football, but then they also have empty spaces in their defense,” he explained.
The right tactical approach will be key for Persib to handle pressure while maximizing scoring opportunities.
Klok Emphasizes Championship Mentality
Persib midfielder Marc Klok also expressed the team’s readiness for what he described as a final-like match. He acknowledged Bali United as a tough opponent, but Persib’s positive record in recent meetings provides added confidence.
“We know Bali is always a tough opponent, whether at home or away. But maybe in the last four or five matches we have always had positive results,” said Klok.
He also stressed that the team is fully determined to win all remaining matches this season.
“We want to win, we play to win. All the remaining eight matches, and tomorrow is another final out of those eight remaining matches,” he stated.
With a relatively complete squad, despite the absence of Julio Cesar due to card accumulation, Persib remains optimistic about securing victory and strengthening their title chances this season.
