Persib Training Ahead of Upcoming Match After Eid Break

The squad of Persib Bandung has resumed training activities after a competition break that coincided with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. The first training session was held at the auxiliary field of Gelora Bandung Lautan Api on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, as an initial step in preparing for the continuation of the Super League 2025/26.

This session marks an important moment for the team to regain their rhythm after a fairly long break. Persib is now shifting its focus to matchweek 26, where they are scheduled to face Semen Padang at Stadion Haji Agus Salim on Sunday, April 5, 2026. The away match is expected to be a tough test as Persib aims to maintain consistency at the top of the standings.

Several Players Yet to Rejoin

In this initial training session, not all players were present on the field. Names such as Thom Haye, Layvin Kurzawa, Beckham Putra Nugraha, Eliano Reijnders, and Frans Putros have not yet rejoined the team. Their absence is largely due to international duties.

Beckham Putra, Eliano Reijnders, and Frans Putros are currently representing their respective national teams. This situation requires the coaching staff to adjust the training composition, particularly in maintaining balance and intensity across all lines.

Despite that, the condition of the players who have returned to training is considered to be in good shape. This serves as an important foundation for the team to quickly elevate their fitness level ahead of the upcoming match.

Persib head coach, Bojan Hodak, stated that the overall condition of the team remains well-maintained after the break.

“All players are in good condition after the break. None of them are sick or injured. So everyone is starting to regain their fitness and focus on continuing the remaining nine matches,” said Hodak, as quoted from the club’s official website.

Training Intensity Begins to Increase

In an effort to prepare the team optimally, the current training program is focused on improving the players’ physical condition. After the competition break, fitness has become the main aspect that needs to be restored to match level.

Bojan Hodak explained that in the coming days, players will undergo higher-intensity training sessions. This program is designed to rebuild endurance while also improving readiness for the demanding schedule toward the end of the season.

“(The plan is) In the next three to four days, training will be a bit tougher for the players. After that, next week, we will focus more on the match against Semen Padang,” he added.

In addition to physical improvements, the coaching staff has also begun preparing tactical strategies for the upcoming opponent. Analyzing Semen Padang’s strengths and weaknesses is a key part of determining the approach for the match.

With nine matches remaining this season, Persib is required to maintain consistent performances to achieve maximum results. Every match carries significant importance in determining the team’s final position in the standings.

The return to training signals Persib’s readiness to face this crucial phase of the season. Full support from supporters is expected to provide additional motivation for the team to perform at their best and secure positive results in every upcoming match.
