As a midlaner, Kimmy can immediately influence the pace of the game. Fast rotations toward the turtle, invading the enemy jungle, and long-range poke damage are her main strengths. Octa also believes that Kimmy’s improved mobility makes her very difficult to catch during objective team fights.
On the other hand, KennzyySkie sees greater potential for Kimmy in the gold lane. He believes this lane gives Kimmy more room to farm consistently, allowing her to reach her power spike faster. With the right items, gold-lane Kimmy can dominate one-on-one matchups and defeat many of the current meta heroes.
KennzyySkie even stated that gold-lane Kimmy can become a serious threat to most power picks, although there are still a few dangerous exceptions.
Counters, Items, and the Future of Revamped Kimmy
Even though she looks “broken,” Kimmy still has weaknesses. KennzyySkie pointed out several hard counters, such as Granger and Harith. He proved this himself by using Harith to defeat his opponent on Week 6 Day 1. If these two heroes make it through the ban phase, they can be very effective answers to Kimmy.
Item choices also remain a hot topic. KennzyySkie believes that Kimmy is not suitable for Sky Piercer, as the item struggles to provide maximum value for her playstyle in most situations. He suggests that there are many other item options that synergize better with the Starlium Stack mechanic and Kimmy’s hit-and-run gameplay.
That said, many analysts consider Kimmy to still be in an experimental phase. Moonton may eventually issue balance changes if her performance becomes too dominant. However, MPL players have already begun developing strategies to deal with her presence on the Land of Dawn.
